The beneficial properties of prunes are due to the presence of a large number of vitamins, including vitamins B, A, C, P and microelements, including potassium and phosphorus, which improve the functioning of the heart and brain, iron, necessary for hematopoiesis, calcium and magnesium.

Prunes have antibacterial properties, suppressing the growth of dangerous pathogens - salmonella, E. coli, staphylococcus. Therefore, it is often used to disinfect meat.
